Cookie Policy
This Policy describes what cookies are, which ones we use on the website www.sushico.pt and how you can manage them, in accordance with Article 5 of Law No. 41/2004, the GDPR and the guidelines of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB).
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They make it possible to recognise the device on later visits, improve the browsing experience and measure the site's performance.
2. Categories of cookies we use
2.1. Strictly necessary cookies (always on)
Essential to the operation of the website and the provision of the service (keeping the cart, processing the order, keeping the session secure). They do not require consent.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
laravel_session | Keep the user's session (login, cart) | Session (2h) |
XSRF-TOKEN | Protection against CSRF attacks | Session (2h) |
cart_* | Keep products added to the cart (guest user) | 24 hours |
cookie_consent | Record your cookie choice | 12 months |
sc_mkt_consent, sc_ana_consent | Record your cookie choice, in a server-readable form | 12 months |
2.2. Functional cookies (consent)
They remember your preferences (preferred shop, language).
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
prefs_loja | Remember your preference for Braga or Porto | 6 months |
lang | Remember the chosen language (Portuguese or English) | 12 months |
2.3. Analytics cookies (consent)
They let us measure and analyse how the site is used, to improve it.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Distinguish users and sessions | 2 years | Google Analytics |
_gid | Distinguish users | 24 hours | Google Analytics |
sc_s | Group the pages of a single visit, so we can measure the journey through the site | 30 minutes | Sushi & Co. (us) |
sc_v | Recognise the same device across visits, so we can tell new visitors from returning ones | 180 days | Sushi & Co. (us) |
The IP address is anonymised before being sent to Google.
The cookies sc_s and sc_v are ours and feed our own site usage measurement, stored on our servers. They are not shared with third parties or used for advertising. We record pages visited, products opened, cart and checkout steps, visit duration, device class (phone, tablet or computer) and traffic source. We do not store the IP address or the browser identifier. If you place an order, that visit is linked to your customer account so we can understand the journey that led to the order. Browsing detail is deleted after 180 days and the visit summary after 400 days.
2.4. Marketing cookies (consent)
Only with your consent under the "Marketing" category do we load the advertising pixels from Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads. They measure how our campaigns perform and let us show you our ads on other sites and social networks. These cookies are set by those providers and their durations are defined by them; without consent, they are not loaded. You can withdraw your consent at any time under "Cookie settings" in the footer.
3. Managing your preferences
3.1. In our cookie banner
On your first visit to the website, a banner lets you Accept all, Reject non-essential or Customise your choices. You can review your choice at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the site footer.
3.2. In your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may make some site features unavailable.
